The Warren County Library will sponsor Housel Fun & Fitness of Marlton, presenting activities for children 3-12, that can be done with common household items, including a piece of paper, paper towel toll, two noisemakers of some kind (spoons, drumsticks, etc.), something soft to toss or roll and an empty plastic bottle or jar.
This fitness and music activity will be available via Zoom on July 15 starting at 2 p.m.
Register to get the Zoom link by calling Lina Crowell at (908) 475-6017 or emailing crowell@warrenlib.org.
And on Friday July 16, the library presents virtual science storytelling for preschoolers through teens with “Revenge of the Toxic Robot” at 11 a.m.
The library describes the story: “A group of friends discovers an illegal dumpsite deep in the woods. When they investigate, they meet an eccentric robot powered by toxic sludge.” Register for this one with Mariellen at mshick@warrenlibrary.org.
The library continues its virtual visiting authors series on Saturday, July 17, at 1 p.m. with Greg Pizzoli, a Geisel Award-winning children’s book author.
Pizzoli will read from his books and give drawing lessons using simple shapes for children ages 4 to 8.
The event is funded in part through the Warren County Cultural and Heritage Division of Land Preservation and Friends of the Northeast Branch. Register with Christina Williams, 908-813-3858 or cwilliam@warrenlib.org.
