Hackettstown Rotary Club is hosting the Virtually Amazing Talent Competition—Junior Edition—on Tuesday, Dec. 1, which is also, aptly, Giving Tuesday. The fundraiser event will help raise money for local non-profits and offset the loss from this year’s canceled Memorial Madness Car Show.
This virtual competition, which kicks off at 7 p.m. and can be accessed via the Hackettstown Rotary website (hackettstownrotary.org), will feature singing, dancing, and more, from young local talent:
- The American Sign Language Club of Hackettstown High School
- Emmy Bosch
- Savannah Buschgans
- Jason Sarnoski
- Eva Lalevee
- Ethan Freedley
- Raiya Patel
- Sadie and Brodie Donnelly
- Maya Levenstein
- Sarah Putz
- Kayleigh Morpeth
- Echo Picone and Owen Christopher
- Julia Yudichak
The acts are competing for a monetary prize and will be judged by professionals in the entertainment and theater industries. Judges include performer, director, and choreographer Justin Boccitto; Broadway performer and master tap teacher Germaine Goodson; and Metropolitan Opera performer Gary Pate. The judges will also perform during the evening.
Emcees for the night are local radio legends Deirdre Bryant and Norman Worth.
“The Virtually Amazing Talent Competition was so well received last summer that the club decided that the community would enjoy a junior edition,” said Jill Zinckgraf, executive director of the Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Warren County and chair of the event. “It will be a lively and engaging evening once again.”
There is no set price for the event, but audiences are asked to donate what-you-can to help support local non-profits. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Contact Laurie Rapisardi at (908) 455-0179 or by emailing laurier68@gmail.com for more information for sponsorships.
