Registration is now open for Centenary Stage Company’s critically-acclaimed Young Performers Workshop Summer Intensive.
The 5-week program, designed to meet the needs of performers of all levels interested in working in the theater, runs July 11-August 14, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day, and culminates in a Summer Festival of Shows.
This hands-on program includes classroom and “production process” training, covering a wide variety of subjects including radio and television production. Classes are broken up by age and ability and no experience is necessary. Students will take part in at least one production during the program, which will include musicals and one-act plays.
Broadway, film, and TV veteran Michael Blevins is the workshop director.
Registration is $995 per student with a $75 non-refundable registration fee due at time of registration (fee will go toward tuition). All students must be registered by June 27.
Interested applicants should contact the CSC box office directly and all new applicants are required to complete an interview process with program director, Michael Blevins. Interviews are scheduled for June 4 and 5 and will cover in detail commitment level, previous training experience, applicant goals and expectations. All students are accepted into the program. Parent questions and concerns will also be addressed at this time.
