In its ongoing mission to provide community access to affordable, useful workforce development, Warren County Community College partners with the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA), NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and other community colleges to offer no-cost skills training.
The grant-funded training classes are free to individuals working 20 or more hours per week for a New Jersey-based business, which includes owners and employees of small businesses, non-profit organizations, and national companies with a New Jersey business address.
An equally beneficial opportunity for employee and employer, who will benefit from the employee’s success in the workplace, these one to two-day workshops cover topics like customer service or computer skills.
This April, the Workforce Development courses include both soft and technical skills:
· Stress Management for Better Health and Success – Friday, April 3, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
· Effective Time Mastery – Friday, April 3, 12:30-3:30 p.m.
· MS Outlook 2016 – Tuesday and Thursday, April 7-9, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
· Providing Top-Notch Customer Service – Monday, April 20, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
· MS Word 2016 Level 2: Complex Docs and Mail Merge – Tuesday and Thursday, April 21-23, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
All classes will be held at the Phillipsburg Education Center, 445 Marshall St., Phillipsburg, the professional development branch of Warren County Community College.
WCCC was recently named Best Colleges’ best community college in New Jersey. The Chronicle of Higher Education recognized the school as the 11th best community college in the entire nation for student success.
