Women In Biz Meeting: Everyone Runs On Marketing

When it comes to business, Everyone Runs on Marketing! That’s the focus of the Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business committee meeting on May 8.

It all comes down to connecting with the right people in the right place at the right time, not just being trendy and hip. The fundamentals of marketing are still in place, but the methods have changed. There are two basic roads a marketer can follow: the traditional one, which has been around for some time, and the new digital one. Traditional refers to the promotion and advertising techniques as well as campaigns that involve tools such as print ads, billboards, flyers, radio commercials, etc. Digital is related to online channels including, social media, search engines, email, websites and blogs.

A panel of experts, including Don Seckler – Peak Inbound Marketing; Mary Lalama Nicastro – New View Media; Walt Blau – Generic Brand Human; and Patti Singer – Follow Me Social Media, will help business people make informed decisions and realize that traditional and digital marketing are not opposing forces. They work hand in hand to help companies engage their clients/audience, and build trust and loyalty to a specific brand. Moderator for this panel discussion is Patrice Schaffer.

The meeting runs from 5:30-8 p.m. at Minebrook Golf Club, 500 Schooleys Man Rd, Hackettstown, Cost is $20 (members); non-members $25 for online paid reservations. Add $5 for at the door registration. Light refreshments are included.
