More than 240 degrees were presented at Warren County Community College at its commencement Saturday, May 21.
Dr. Lawrence A. Nespoli, President of the New Jersey Council of County Colleges, delivered the keynote speech.
Dr. Nespoli’s topic was entitled “Laws of Success.” He talked about community colleges and how they bring students from different backgrounds and different paths into one arena, whether they are seeking degrees, complementary course credits, or certificates, whether they are traditional or non-traditional students, or whether they are looking for something more personal altogether. Dr. Nespoli highlighted several graduates with different backgrounds as part of his speech.
Nursing graduate Joan Kimmel was selected as the Student Speaker. Eighty-three-year-old Vincent Iacampo, who received a certificate as a Physical Therapist Aide this year, was given the Presidential Inspirational Leadership Award by Dr. Will Austin, President of WCCC.
