Washington-based Steel Gravy, featuring Steve Kirchuk, is joining a jam band lineup this summer at nearby Stanhope House.
They will play the House on July 6, the second segment of a month-long Wednesday Night Stanhope JamBoozle series.
Part rock group, part jam band, with the added sound of pedal steel, Steel Gravy plays a blend of originals and unique arrangements of classic songs by the Grateful Dead, Beatles, and Steve Earle, among others.
The jam-packed evening will begin with a “Headie Happy Hour” from 5-7 p.m., followed by an open mic hosted by Dave Fields for musician looking to jam it out. Steel Gravy will take the stage at 9 p.m. Specials throughout the night will include a crafted Grilled Cheese Sandwich menu.
The cover is only $5.
The JamBoozle kicks off the previous Wednesday, June 29, with IDB, a quintet that combines decades of live performance experience, unique improvisational skills, and a love of the Grateful Dead. The series will then continue each Wednesday through July 27.
The Stanhope House is located at 45 Main Street in Stanhope, Sussex County.
