Washington Borough Goes Green With Fun, Music

The Washington Business Improvement District’s Sustainably Green Music & Arts Festival on Saturday June 17 featured lots of activities, lots of music and most of all, lots of fun. The event also marked the start of the WBID’s Saturday Farmers Market season. These photos capture the day! Farmer Keith Zipprich, K & A Farms, Asbury, stands by his bumper crop of jewel-like strawberries; Rick Houston opens up the tunes on the musical stage, which later featured the Alex Radus Trio and the Alexis P Suter Band; Janvii Patel, a henna tattoo artist, models some of her work; and 3-year-old Josie takes her first ride on a solar-powered merry-go-round in the Kids’ Area by Gaia’s Gifts and finds herself face to face with an owl and a monkey.
