The Washington Business Improvement District has two great community festivals scheduled for this spring, offering vendors an opportunity to do some business!
Both events are on Saturdays and will take place in Downtown Washington from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. On May 21, the second annual Rock ‘n Roll Steam Punk Fair takes place and on June 18, it’s the Sustainably Green Music & Arts Festival, which also celebrates Juneteenth and the opening week of the Washington Farmers Market.
The Steam Punk Fair brings an eclectic scene to town with attendees dressed in steam punk ware, games and other unique activities. It also features lots of music with three bands: A Halo Called Fred, Psych-A-Billy, and headliner national recording artists, the Slambovian Circus of Dreams.
The Sustainably Green Music & Arts Festival is all about the environment, “green products” and “green services”, with live music by The Adventures of Matte Black, Dende’s Recycled Sounds, and Big Bruce & The Messengers. There will also be kids activities, demonstrations, and the day also serves as the kickoff to the summer-long Saturday weekly Washington Farmers Market, and a celebration of Juneteenth will special programs scheduled.
Looking long-term, vendor applications for the Festival in the Borough on Sept. 17 are also available.
