Some people have touched the lives of some – or maybe even – a good number of people. Tiffani Danielle Medley Warren touched the lives of so many people you simply cannot count how many.
Whether it was as the Dean of Learning and Director of Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) at Warren County Community College, as a mother and wife, as a friend, or as a student advocate. Warren was the person people were drawn to for advice, friendship, or leadership. Her always positive attitude and smile could make the seemingly worst day for someone one of the best.
In recognition for her efforts on behalf of countless Warren Community College students, as well as her many other endeavors, Warren is being inducted into the Warren County Hall of Fame posthumously.
The annual Hall of Fame event, presented by the Warren Community College Foundation, will take place at Hawk Pointe Golf Club in Washington Township on Saturday Nov. 11. In addition to Warren, this year’s inductees include: Dr. Frank Gilly, Susan Sloan, Michael Lavery, Matthew Czigler, and Jim Kelsey. Also chosen posthumously was Harry Brown..
Warren understood that education opened doors to opportunities. Through her work as Dean of Learning and Director of the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) at Warren she was committed to helping students, particularly the underrepresented, earn degrees, pursue their dreams, and live outside the boundaries that they or society may have set. She also served as the family consultant for educational matters as nieces and nephews prepared for college.
Her first love, though, was her family. She was devoted to Melvin, her husband of 23 years, and her two children, Skylar and Maurice. They were her world and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for them. She made birthdays and holidays memorable with decorations, favorite foods, and personal gifts. She prepared delicious meals, hosted fabulous gatherings and pool parties, and sealed each event with a special touch. She was so creative that she led arts and crafts at family gatherings, and was a good resource for recipes.
As an advocate, she served her community through a variety of leadership roles. Warren served as Board Secretary for the Warren Community College Foundation Directors, as a member of the Warren County Technical School Board of Education, silver life member of the NAACP Morris County Branch, member of Jack and Jill of America, Morris County Chapter where she also served in various leadership roles, and was a GOP Committeewoman for Washington Township.
Warren earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology and her MSM from Thomas Edison College. Her thirst for learning motivated her further. In fact, she was posthumously granted her doctoral degree in business administration from Thomas Edison State University.
The event is open to the public and includes musical entertainment by the 3 Lelicas. For advance information on sponsorships or tickets,https://conta.cc/3EZmiMe, or email samir@warren.edu.
