Warren County plans to form an Environmental Advisory Committee and is seeking volunteers to serve on it, Board of County Commissioners Director James R. Kern III announced.
The committee will advise the County Commissioners and the general public in order to protect and restore Warren County’s natural resources and to increase environmental awareness, ensuring that both residents and visitors alike can enjoy a healthy environment and improved quality of life.
The county recognizes the importance of including environmental concerns and perspectives within all aspects of government, Kern said. This committee will work with the State, County boards and agencies, local environmental commissions, colleges and universities, community groups, and private sector businesses.
Residents interested in participating can apply by filing out the Volunteer Application form found on the Volunteer Opportunities page of the county website at www.warrencountynj.gov/our-county/volunteer-opportunities.
