The Warren County Library is presenting a host of online activities starting this week.
Explore Our Universe
The Warren County Library presents the “Explore Our Universe” challenge on Beanstack to learn about the James Webb Space Telescope being launched by NASA this winter. All ages are invited to participate by logging your reading and completing activities to earn virtual badges. Along the way you’ll learn about galaxies, stars, planets, and space exploration. The challenge runs from December 1st through 31st.
All ages may register for this STEAM event with Lina Crowell at crowell@warrenlib.org.
Minecraft Club
The Warren County Library Minecraft Club meets on Wednesdays, Dec. 1 and 15, from 4:30 to 6:30 on the secure and monitored survival realm, Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
Registration is free, but you need to have the game purchased and downloaded to participate. Registering provides the Realm link and instructions for joining the Discord chat. The realm works on mobile, pcs, laptops and consoles that are Bedrock Edition compatible.
The club is for ages 10 to 16. Presenter is Elisabth Barta. Register with Kelly at kdurkin@warrenlib.org.
Homemade Extracts with The Grounded Goodwife
The Grounded Goodwife will present an online class on creating homemade extracts on Thursday, Dec. 2, at 6:30 p.m.
Homemade extracts are easy to make, great for gifting, inexpensive, and don’t contain creepy ingredients like their supermarket cousins. They’re great hostess or holiday gifts as well. The shelf life of these extracts is almost indefinite! To unleash your inner mixologist, join Velya and Ehris of Grounded Goodwife. Register with Laura at (908) 362-8335 or laurag@warrenlib.org.
