The six-time New Jersey State Champion Warren Hills archery team recently competed for the first time in the National Archery Tournament in Louisville, KY. The Blue Streaks competed in both the Bullseye and the 3D target competitions.
Warren Hills archers included: Austin Barlow, Gretchen Fix, Hunter Smith, James Schmidt, Emily Cawood, Jennifer Reid, Eileen Chen, Julia Zandomenega, Patricia Ankoma-Gyedu,Jason Merrill, Robert Finke, Jessica Hoff, Rosemarie Perna, Jacquelyn Nesbeth, Brittany Smith, Alexandra Lino, Sara Quigley, Dylan Hourihan.(pictured). The Archery team is lead by teachers Adam Slack and Mark Smith.
The team received a grant from the NRA Foundation, which was used to purchase a complete set of 3D targets for our archery team. The acquisition of these targets will help the WHHS Archery Team to better prepare for future National Archery Tournament.
The NRA Foundation provides financial support to eligible projects, programs and organizations through its Grant Program. Each year, volunteer committees from across the country tirelessly raise charitable dollars and generous donors make gifts that are in turn awarded as grants in support of educational and public service programs relating to the shooting sports in our communities.
