Hope Township Mayor Timothy McDonough and his wife Maria welcome Lt. Manchester from the NJ Army National Guard, pilot of a Black Hawk helicopter that he flew to the Hope Township School as part of the school’s Veterans Day event.

Eighth graders at the school helped to coordinate the special event, which included current and past military men and women from Hope, an assembly, and a terrific patriotic experience.

“It was a very meaningful day for the kids and the veterans,” said the Mayor, who helped to arrange the helicopter visit, as well as Hummer vehicles, through the National Guard. “It was a very exciting day and a really neat event.”
