The Super Bowl is much more than a football game and impacts every community in the United States.
In a program presented by the Warren County Library, veteran sports broadcaster Evan Weiner will present a Zoom talk on the Super Bowl on Monday, Feb. 7, from 7 to 8 p.m. He will explain how the Super Bowl rose out of the civil rights movement, specifically the African American boycott of the AFL All Star Game in New Orleans. Weiner’s talk will range from the birth of the Super Bowl through halftime shows and all the hoopla of the game, including how the name was coined.
The program is for all ages. Provide an email address when registering with Lorraine Bloom at (908) 813-3858 or lorrainebloom@warrenlib.org.
