Warren County-serving United Way of Northern New Jersey has been presented a substantial grant to continue its work throughout the county and region beyond.
Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) executives presented a $29,534 grant from the FirstEnergy Foundation to United Way of Northern New Jersey, which will go towards improving life for ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) individuals and families throughout the region who are working but struggling to afford the basics.
This donation exemplifies a long track record of JCP&L supporting United Way and the well-being of the region. In addition to financial contributions, employees are encouraged to volunteer their time to support community service projects throughout the year.
“United Way thanks FirstEnergy Foundation and JCP&L for their continued support and generosity, which helps put ALICE on a path to financial stability,” said United Way of Northern New Jersey CEO John Franklin. “It’s with strong partners that United Way can continue to advance its mission throughout our five-county footprint.”
United Way of Northern New Jersey represents five counties in Northern New Jersey, including Warren.
