Ukrainian Translators Sought By Group

Zoose Language Technologies LLC of Denville is raising funds to provide Ukrainian language translators to the refugees and relief workers in the countries surrounding Ukraine that are taking in those fleeing the war-torn country.

Estimates predict the 1.5 million refugees could increase to 4 million over the next few weeks, people fleeing to countries whose languages they don’t speak and encountering people who may not speak Ukrainian.

Zoose is a language translation app designed to instantly connect people with human translators at no cost. It was developed by Patrick Allocco in 2020 after he and his son were held in Angola with no knowledge of Portuguese. He says, “I know very well what it feels like to be surrounded, to be isolated and to be afraid when you cannot speak or communicate with anyone.”

Allocca is seeking donations to recruit volunteer translators who are bi-lingual in Ukrainian and the following languages: Polish, Hungarian, Romanian, German, Italian, French and English. The translators will be provided at no cost to any refugee. To donate, go to hello@zoose.us or https://Zoose.US.
