Saturday Night Live alum and hit radio host Joe Piscopo will appear at Centenary University this weekend. Presented by the University’s Sports Management Department, the appearance will benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of New Jersey.
The show will be held Sunday, April 14, at 3 p.m. Tickets are $20 for general admission or $40 for a meet and greet opportunity, show admission included.
Piscopo is best known for his stint on the comedy variety show, Saturday Night Live, from 1980-1985. Notable characters included “The Sports Guy,” “Doug Whiner”; his portrayal of Frank Sinatra garnered a fandom that even included the singer himself. He has also had starring roles in television, film, and theater. He is currently the host of the hit radio show, “The Joe Piscopo Show.”
He is also active in volunteerism and has been recognized for his efforts by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mercer County, multiple Boys and Girls Clubs, Boy’s Town of Italy in Rome. Piscopo started his own foundation called “The Positive Impact Foundation”, creating positive media for at-risk youth including the syndicated television show for teens, Positive Impact TV.
