Chris Garofalo, longtime staff member at The House of the Good Shepherd (left), and Catherine Rust, General Manager of the Centenary Stage Company, were recently honored by The House at the retirement community’s Annual Wine & Dine fundraiser. The event featured many of the area’s finest restaurants offering tastings of their superb culinary delights, a great selection of wines and live music with the Grover Kemble Trio. The event, attended by a huge crowd, raised $15,000 with the proceeds going to the House of the Good Shepherd’s Foundation, which provides funding for housing, amenities, and care to their residents, even if they have outlived their financial resources. Special thanks goes to the participating restaurants that made the night a success: Churrascaria Paladar, Harper’s Bake Shop, Mama’s Restaurant & Café’ Baci, Mattar’s Bistro, Marley’s Gotham Grill, Mediterranean Bistro, Pandan Room, Panther Pub, Pretzel Factory, Stella G’s, Taphouse Grille and TOPO.
