St. James’ Episcopal Church of Hackettstown will be holding its 9th annual golf outing on Monday, June 26, at Farmstead Golf & Country Club in Lafayette, NJ.
Money raised from the outing is used to help carry out ministry and mission initiatives of St. James’. Initiatives have included the Backpack Program, which supports local food-insecure children with supplemental food, sending a team of teens to help repair houses in Appalachia, and opening the parish hall as a warming and food center in times of need.
The church also hosts literacy tutoring, the North Porch Center for mothers and newborns, and grief counseling services through the Joseph T. Quinlan Bereavement Center.
Individual tickets for the outing are $130, which includes golf, cart, box lunch, event gifts, and banquet dinner, as well as door prizes. All participants will also be eligible for on-course contests, such as longest drive and closest to the pin.
Registration and box lunch begin at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The outing will be a four-person scramble format.
Sponsorship opportunities are available starting at $100 per hole. A sponsorship includes signage on the golf course and ad in the event brochure.
For questions, to register, or to inquire about sponsorship opportunities, please contact the Golf Committee by e-mail at stjamesgolf214@gmail.com. Registration is requested by June 17, 2017.
