Norwescap will host an Open House and Springtime Celebration at the Norwescap Thrift Shop on Tuesday, March 19 from 4-7 p.m. It will be an opportunity to enjoy light refreshments, do some shopping, meet Kate Hayford and others who run the Thrift Store, and hear from Norwescap CEO Mark Valli about Norwescap’s work in the community. Since the Thrift Store is co-located with the Norwescap Food Bank, visitors will also be able to tour of the newly renovated annex warehouse.
The Thrift Store is a vital support system for the Food Bank, with all proceeds from the Thrift Store benefiting Food Bank. Every dollar the Food Bank receives provides free meals to hungry neighbors in the community. Any support is most welcome: Come and shop with a friend. Donate items to the store. Join the team of volunteers.
The Norwescap Food Bank, a major supplier of goods to programs in the tri-county area, distributes healthy food and grocery products through a network of more than 80 partners, including pantries, soup kitchens, onsite feeding programs, childcare centers, senior centers, and programs for the disabled in Warren, Hunterdon, and Sussex Counties.
Explore the heart of the community at the Norwescap Thrift Store. Witness impact firsthand, and learn how every purchase contributes to feeding families in need. Discover the power of giving back through the Thrift Store!
“This event will introduce people to the Thrift Store who have never visited before. It’s a fun place to shop and you never really know what you’re going to find. We want you to know we are here and encourage you to come for a visit to see what we really do,” said Kate Hayford, Thrift Store manager.
Plan to attend Norwescap’s Open House and Springtime Celebration on Tuesday, March 19 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m, at 201 N. Broad Street, Phillipsburg. Fun and prizes will abound!
