Kathie Luton of Belvidere, responding to the needs of homeless people in Warren County, has for a while been making sleeping mats for them. These incredible mats are made out of plastic shopping bags with intricate designs. When completed they are thick and comfortable to sleep on. She says, “My project is simple and costs nothing but time.” Several people have been helping Luton make the mats as part of her People Helping People project, but she’s always looking for more help.
