Sinatra Comes to Life in Next Jazz Installment

Fans of the Sultan of Swoon, Frank Sinatra, will love the next installment of Rutherfurd Hall’s Great Jazz Series, “Ronny Whyte Trio Sings Sinatra.”

The show will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, in the historical mansion in Allamuchy.

Ronny Whyte is considered a premiere interpreter of Classic American Popular Song, an outstanding jazz pianist, and a successful songwriter. An ASCAP Award-winning songwriter, he wrote, “Forget the Woman,” which was recorded by Tony Bennett, and his music for The Party Upstairs won the MAC Award for Best Song of 2006. For two years, Ronny appeared Off-Broadway in the hit musical, Our Sinatra, as well as its two national big band tours, which played more than 90 cities. Whyte will be joined by bassist Dean Johnson, who has been a U.S. Jazz Ambassador and performed worldwide, and drummer Ray Marchica, who is in-demand in the New York jazz scene.

Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door. Advanced tickets can be purchased on the Rutherfurd Hall website or in-person at Mama’s Café Baci in Hackettstown or Panther Valley Pharmacy in Allamuchy. The series is sponsored by Panther Valley Pharmacy and Heath Village Retirement Community (Hackettstown).
