Businesses will sell their wares on the sidewalks in Hackettstown on Saturday, Sept 10 and Oct. 8, from noon to 5 p.m. as the Hackettstown Business Improvement District sponsors two Sidewalk Sales.

Farmers Market Extended to Saturday

The farmers market will be in the parking lot of Berk’s Outlet on both days. On Sept. 10, JerZGirls will perform in the Berk’s parking lot.

Oktoberfest

The Oktoberfest will be from Friday, Sept. 23, through Sunday, Sept. 25 with activities, contests, craft vendors, music, food and drink. Oktoberfest gear is for sale now on hackettstownbid.com.

Canva 102

Canva 102 will be presented via Zoom on Monday, Sept. 26, from 6 to 7 p.m. by Dr. Helene T. Nguyen of Feet ‘N Beyond of New Jersey, PA. Contact hackettstownbid.com for the Zoom link.

Nguyen will present lessons on the graphic design platform used to create social media graphics, presentation, posters, documents and other visual content. She will teach what Canva users can do at the advanced level, including posting animation and other enhancements. Nguyen is on the BID board of directors.

Tillie Walk

On Saturday, Oct. 22, the BID will present the Tillie Walk Mystery Tour around town and on the campus of Centenary University. Tillie Smith was a Centenary employee murdered returning to campus and the walk follows the path of her last night alive.
