Lockdown has made it clear to some that it’s time for a career change, but how to go about it when staying at home?
WCC has always recognized the importance of flexible scheduling options, but with a national health crisis at hand, this need for safe learning spaces is ever more present.
This summer, WCC’s Continuing Education department has added even more online programming to its career and professional development schedule:
· Pharmacy Technician Program, a 50-hour course preparing students for the field’s certification exam and a career in pharmaceutical settings
· Dialysis Technician Program, teaching students how to operate and maintain kidney dialysis machines under the supervision of doctors and nurses
· N.E.C.I. Basic 9-1-1 Officer Certification, a comprehensive program that covers all the basics and readies students for a 9-1-1 emergency communication role per national standards
Offering continual enrollment and no set start date, these three programs allow ultimate flexibility for students seeking to start a new career.
Additionally, more than 300 online accreditation, certification, and professional development courses are offered through the College’s online learning platform.
Those seeking to advance their career in nursing, massage therapy, or other Healthcare positions can find instructor-led and self-paced accreditation courses, while teachers can earn professional development hours.
Other courses are offered in an array of fields, from wedding planning to horse care management to accounting.
