Children will enjoy a cooking activity while parents finish cleaning and prepping for Thanksgiving on Wednesday, Nov. 23, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Rutherfurd Hall, one of many upcoming holiday activities for kids.

They will bake an apple pie and play Thanksgiving-themed games. The cost is $30 to $60 depending on how long the child stays.

That day is an early dismissal day. Children in the Allamuchy School District will be transported to the hall. Pickup for cooking only is 2 p.m., for cooking and games is 3 p.m.

Holiday Cookies

A second cooking workshop for kids ages 6 to 12 will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 7, from 3:20 to 4:20 p.m., when they will create holiday cookies and chocolate dippers with a Polar Express theme. The cost is $30.

Paint Nights

Children and adults can enjoy holiday paint nights on Thursday, Dec. 8, from 6:30 to 8:30.

The children will paint a Santa-themed Baby Yoda in a workshop presented by ARTstituion. Children younger than 7 must be accompanied by an adult. The fee is $25.

For adults, the workshop will be “paint and sip” with attendees encouraged to bring a beverage and snacks. All supplies are included. They will paint a festive gnome on 16×20” stretch canvas with acrylic paint.

Elves

Children can enjoy an artsy elves workshop on Friday, Dec. 9 from 1 to 3 p.m. and create a craft gift.
