Warren County Community College proudly announces that Ronald (Ron) G. Garriques will be the keynote speaker at the 2025 Commencement Ceremony on May 17. With an extensive career spanning executive leadership roles in global technology companies and private equity, Garriques brings a wealth of experience and insight to this year’s graduating class.

Garriques holds an impressive academic background, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, summa cum laude, from Boston University in 1986, followed by a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University in 1987. He later completed his Master of Business Administration at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1993.

Over the years, Garriques has held pivotal leadership roles in major technology firms. From 1998 to 2007, he served in various leadership positions at Motorola, Inc., ultimately becoming the Executive Vice President and President of the Mobile Devices Business, where he led the development of some of the industry’s most influential mobile devices and helped drive the company’s global market share growth.

In 2007, he joined Dell, Inc., where he served as the President of the Global Consumer Business Unit and later as President of the Communication Solutions Group. Under his leadership, Dell successfully expanded into the global retail consumer market, generating billions in revenue and launching key product lines, including the Dell Streak and Venue.

Since 2012, Garriques has been actively involved in private equity, holding leadership roles at HuntsmanGay Global Equity, Gee Partnership Holdings, and Garrix Solutions, where he has focused on strategic investments and business growth. He also currently serves as Chairman of Pure Forge, a leading innovator in advanced braking technologies.

With his extensive expertise in engineering, business strategy, and global leadership, Garriques will offer an inspiring perspective to the Class of 2025 as they embark on their professional journeys.
