Roerig, Klingel Give Streak Golf Team Hope

By Zack Martino

The Warren Hills Blue Streaks golf team is looking for a bounce back season in 2018. Head coach Todd Solecitto is optimistic that there will be plenty of improvement in this year’s record from last with the help of two solid returning players.

“I am looking for significant improvement from each player since last season as they all played many rounds over the offseason,” he said. “Another goal of ours is to have at least one individual qualify for states.”

The two key players returning in 2018 are senior Josh Roerig and junior Spencer Klingel. Last season, Roerig shot a 44 average and Klingel shot a 47 average. Solecitto is hopeful that both can clip a point or two off their averages from last year. If they can, and if the Streaks get some support there is a very good chance that they will improve over last year’s 2-14 record.
