Family and friends recently honored the memory of Rocky Hadzovic at a special event in Independence Township that also featured a resolution presented by Assemblyman John DiMaio. Accepting the resolution were his son Issac and Rocky’s wife, Mirsada. Rocky, who originally hailed from Bosnia, emigrated to Hackettstown many years ago, escaping that war-ravaged country. He eventually helped dozens of family members and friends leave as well, most of whom relocated to the Hackettstown area. He owned a roofing company for many years, as well as other businesses, employing scores of family and friends. To those he helped, he was a true hero.
