Riverwalk Village at The House of The Good Shepherd to Host the Hackettstown Area Senior Hall of Fame

Senior Hall of Fame Recipients Will Be Honored in May

The Hackettstown Area Senior Hall of Fame will be hosted, for the fourth year in a row, by Riverwalk Village at The House of the Good Shepherd, a FellowshipLIFE community in Hackettstown, New Jersey. The Senior Hall of Fame honorees will be recognized during a celebration luncheon and ceremony at David’s Country Inn on May 14 in honor of Older Americans Month.

Nominations for the Senior Hall of Fame are open now through March 21 for the Hackettstown area, and individuals 60 years old or older as of Jan. 1, 2025, are eligible to be nominated.

The Hackettstown Area Senior Hall of Fame was established in 1997 to recognize senior citizens in the Northwest New Jersey region who have made a significant impact on the lives of others in the community. The event was created as part of the community outreach initiative at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center.

Riverwalk Village at The House of the Good Shepherd expresses gratitude for the generous contributions of the Hackettstown Regional Medical Center and is committed to sustaining their mission.

“Embrace the diverse stories of our community by nominating exceptional seniors who have woven a rich tapestry of wisdom, resilience, and inspiration,” said Susan Lanza, Executive Director of Riverwalk Village at the House of The Good Shepherd. “Join us in honoring their legacy and ensuring their extraordinary contributions shine brightly.”

When presenting a nomination, it is important to include supporting information highlighting how the nominee has made a difference in their community. If applicable, specify which organizations or individuals have benefited from the nominee’s efforts, including any volunteer work. Volunteer efforts are crucial when evaluating nominees, as they demonstrate continued commitment to the community and personal growth after their professional careers. Additionally, input from the community is vital for the selection committee as they honor local seniors.
