The House of the Good Shepherd Retirement Community in Hackettstown recently began a multi-million dollar renovation of its main building including the following elements: a redesigned visitor-friendly front entrance; an updated and refreshed main dining space, which will be named the “Schenk Lodge” to honor a generous bequest made to the House of the Good Shepherd Foundation from Rudolph and Edna Schenk; the addition of a Sales Center; and renovated administrative offices, common areas, cafe, and board meeting room. “Thanks to the generous bequest of the Schenks these new renovations will be a reality,” said Sue Lanza, CEO of The House. “The renovations will make The House an even more inviting home for residents and for visitors a truly welcoming atmosphere.”
