Registration Open for Girls Coding Mentorship Program

Tamia Freeman, left, a senior at Warren Hills Regional High School, mentors Sophia Antonelli, of Washington, during a GirlsCodingWithGirls mentor event. Freeman recently earned a National Center for Women in Technology Aspirations in Computing Award Honorable Mention.

Registration is now open for the award-winning GirlsCodingWithGirls Spring 2019 session!

Girls in grades 4-8 who are interested in the computer sciences can join this six-week program to work with a Warren Hills Regional High School mentor. The program, which is not limited to the Warren Hills sending district, allows girls to have fun while bonding and learning about computational thinking.

The session runs Monday evening 5:30-7:30 p.m. beginning March 4th.

The cost for the program is $50, which includes dinner at each session.

GirlsCodingWithGirls is a proud winner of the 2018 Champions of Computer Science National Award. This spring marks its 11th session since 2014.

For more information, please contact Daryl Detrick at detrickd@warrenhills.org. To register, visit this link. Space is limited and a waiting list is expected to form.

The program is sponsored by the Warren Hills Computer Science Program Club.
