It’s a new year and my resolution is to see more live music in 2016! Keep in mind, I’ve see a lot of live music, but there’s always room for more!
Saturday night, Jan. 9, kicks off my musical adventures for the new year with the monthly Singer/Songwriter event called Riverside Rhythm & Rhyme at the Skylands Unitarian Universalist Church on Route 57 in Mansfield Township.
Cute, intimate setting and always a great crowd of music lovers and more importantly, music listeners. This month’s bill features Jesse Bardwell, known as being the front man for The Quimby Mountain Band. Jesse plays mandolin, sings, and all around entertains.
The fun part of RRR is the pre-show; an open mic that starts at 7 p.m. Anyone can sign up regardless of their level of talent beginning at 6:30 p.m. so if you finally got that guitar for Christmas that you have longed for your entire adult life, break it out and put it to good use on January 9th!
Admission is by donation. Information is available at www.skylandsuu.org or Mountain Ledge Music on Facebook.
Coming soon…announcements about WNTI Stage 2016, and plenty more!
