Oxford Central School PTA was recognized for its outstanding contribution to improve the lives of the children at their school and is one of the 600 PTAs across the state.
“New Jersey’s PTAs continue to strive for the children of New Jersey. They are committed to making every child’s potential a reality,” said Rose Acerra, President of New Jersey PTA. “We are pleased to recognize the leadership and dedication of Oxford Central School PTA. This PTA is making a significant contribution to their school and community.”
Oxford Central School PTA (OCS PTA) is 100% committed to family engagement activities and sees their family engagement activities serving two purposes: to engage with their PTA members and bring families closer together to celebrate the school community and enrich the school experience. According to Chief School Administrator, Robert J. Magnuson, OCS PTA does not let a month go by without a new or tried and true family event. As a result of this focus, OCS PTA provides countless PTA events for their students and families. According to OCS PTA, their focus has been bringing the school community together and by increasing the opportunities for family engagement, students are creating stronger bonds and creating memories with their families.
“The Family Engagement Award is one of the ten NJPTA 2019 Local Unit Success Awards. Local PTAs bring amazing, innovative programs and services to children and families every day,” said Rose Acerra, President of New Jersey PTA, “and we are honored to recognize and celebrate their achievements.”
