A start to the chilly season is coming to the library in the form of a Zoom presentation about the Campbell’s Company. For specific details or to register for this program for adults with Kim Urban, call her at (908) 818-1280 or email kurban@warrenlib.org.
The famous soup company was started in 1869 by Joseph A. Campbell, a fruit merchant from Bridgeton, NJ, and Abraham Anderson, an icebox manufacturer from South Jersey. They produced canned tomatoes, vegetables, jellies, soups, condiments, and minced meats.
Presenter Marisa Bozarth will discuss the company from its beginning as a small canning company to its status as a multi-billion-dollar global food company. She will discuss Joseph Campbell and others who worked to make the company what it is today.
Bozarth is a history museum curator with the Burlington County Division of Parks.
