Students from Oxford Central School who are members of the Junior Solar Sprint Club participated in the recent annual Solar Sprint competition. The club is a S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) based club. Students from grades 6-8 designed and raced solar-powered model cars. The Star Gazer, created by Ronald DeMayo, Evan Faas-McKenzie, and Robert Dahmer, made it to seventh place and will be competing as the first alternate in the state wide competition.
