“The Rockstars,” a choir from Abilities of Northwest Jersey Inc. who perform around northwestern New Jersey to share their love of music, forge friendships, and teach important lessons about inclusion and belonging, have been very busy this holiday season.
Most recently they performed a host of holiday songs at the Festival of Trees, a fundraiser for Abilities and Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Warren County, at Rossi Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Washington Township.
In November, they presented a music lesson to advanced composition students at Centenary University. That performance, which included a singalong, was part of a service learning initiative between Centenary students and Abilities which started last January.
The “Rockstars” are directed by Patricia Evans, Abilities’ music and art coordinator.
