If anything has been proven this past year, it’s that well-trained healthcare professionals will always be in demand.
Warren Community College prepares students to succeed in an array of healthcare positions with award-winning education in a safe, accommodating environment. Career programs in Spring 2021 are being offered in remote, hybrid, and in-person lab formats.
Fully remote programs this Spring will prepare Pharmacy Technicians, Dialysis Technicians, Medical Interpreters, Physical Therapy Aides, and Personal Trainers for their respective certification exams or entry-level careers. Continuing education for nurses and healthcare workers is also available remotely year-round, including courses on ethics, end of life care, stress management, and much more.
Hybrid programs this Spring include Dental Radiology, which prepares students to work in private dental offices by covering aspects of running and interpreting radiographic dental machines, biology and safety, and more. A seven-month, full-time Medical Assisting program will also get underway with hybrid offerings.
Classroom courses include a one-day workshop, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, which includes CPR and AED training.
All students entering these programs must be 18 years or older and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Some programs, including the Dialysis Technician program, may have additional prerequisites. Students may also need to complete an interview, physical exam, and/or background check, depending on the program.
In-person medical courses are held at the Phillipsburg Education Center, 445 Marshall St., in Phillipsburg. For more information about these or other medical programs available at Warren County Community College, please visit www.warren.edu/healthcare.
