For six decades, Norwescap has been a pillar of support for individuals and families in the community, empowering them to overcome challenges and build brighter futures. To commemorate this incredible journey, they are hosting Norwescap’s 60th Anniversary Gala on May 7 at the Palace at Somerset Park.

Established in 1965, Norwescap has evolved into a comprehensive nonprofit organization providing services to thousands of individuals in New Jersey annually. They partner with individuals and families to create pathways to achieve their hopes and dreams. Their myriad programs address immediate needs and build strategies for long-term success, focusing on education, employment, financial empowerment, health and nutrition, housing and community development, and volunteerism and civic engagement.

Norwescap’s 60th Anniversary Gala will be an inspiring evening dedicated to celebrating their achievements and charting a bold path forward, recognizing the people and organizations that have provided immeasurable support for over half a century!

During the course of the evening, Norwescap will recognize the following Community Action Heroes: ShopRite of Hunterdon County, RoNetco, Village Super Markets, and Wakefern; Valley Bank; Honorable Assembly Speaker Craig J. Coughlin, Speaker of the New Jersey Assembly, 19th Legislative District, whose advocacy efforts help to combat food insecurity across New Jersey; and four former Norwescap Food Bank Directors – Patty Apgar, Becky Brooking, Helene Meissner, and Cathy Rummel

“For 60 years, Norwescap has stood alongside individuals and families as they’ve worked to overcome obstacles and build better lives,” said Mark Valli, CEO of Norwescap. “This Gala is not only a celebration of our past, but a bold affirmation of our future. We’re honoring the incredible people and partners who have shaped our journey, and recommitting ourselves to the work ahead. It will be a night of reflection, inspiration, and hope for what’s yet to come.”

Be a part of this momentous milestone – a night to remember, filled with inspiration, connection, fond memories and future dreams. It’s all happening on Wed., May 7 from 6 to 9 pm at the Palace at Somerset Park, 333 Davidson Avenue, Somerset, NJ.
