The Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce, 150-plus businesses strong, prides itself on promoting its members internally and externally to the public. For the past few years, the “Oliver Awards” have been an opportunity for members to showcase their media/promotional-related efforts – and get recognized for it.
This year’s competition has been expanded to include a host of categories in all, from print, social media, branding, writing, web design, video, promotional items, advertisements, and signage.
“The idea is to give as members as possible a chance to be recognized with an Oliver Award,” said Claudia Ehrgott, Chair of the Olivers committee. “By expanding our categories to include the expansive ‘promotional’ mediums now out there they’ve got that opportunity.”
Entries for Chamber members must be submitted by Sept. 7. Only Chamber members are eligible to submit entries. Anyone signing up as a business by the deadline, however, is eligible to participate.
The awards event, scheduled for Tuesday Oct. 2 at Wild West City in Byram Township, is targeted to business members only. Tickets are $30 which includes food. There is a cash bar. There will be special entertainment by the iconic Uncle Floyd.
The Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce serves the Greater Mount Olive area, including parts of Northwest Morris County, and Warren and Sussex Counties.
