The Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce’s 15th Annual Breakfast with the Mayors is going virtual this year. Mayors from Mount Olive, Hackettstown, and Washington Township have been invited to this year’s breakfast event, Tuesday morning, Feb. 9.

During the event, Mount Olive Township Mayor Rob Greenbaum, Hackettstown Mayor Jerry DiMaio, and Township of Washington (Morris) Mayor Matthew Murello are expected to give municipal updates as they pertain to local businesses and discuss ways to support and grow local business. They will also be taking questions.

“We’re excited to offer this year’s Breakfast with the Mayors on Zoom,” said Chuck Aaron, President of the Chamber. “It’s a way for business people to stay connected with their local community in a safe and convenient way.”

For the past several years Breakfast with the Mayors was held at Longhorn Saloon in Mount Olive, which was destroyed by fire recently. However, due to COVID concerns this year’s event had already been scheduled to go remote.

The meeting is open to the public and is a great opportunity for members of the business community at large to learn about the state of local business. Advanced reservations are required; a Zoom link will be provided upon confirmation. “Breakfast” will start at 7:30 a.m.

This year’s event is free to attend, though when registering the Chamber is seeking donations for its scholarship fund, which supports area high schoolers.

The Chamber, which represents businesses throughout the Mount Olive/Hackettstown/Long Valley region, invites all businesses to become members. Among the member benefits are complimentary or discounted fees for various luncheons and meetings. A host of functions are held throughout the year including the Chamber’s signature monthly networking event, Marketing in the Morning, and its always informative Business Builders Series.
