Cathy Miller and Jack Reinhard, two frequent contributors to insidewarren.com, will be honored by the Garden State Journalists Association at the organization’s annual awards dinner on May 23.
Hackettstown-based CHP Communications, a public relations and strategic marketing firm, was also a winner in the annual contest.
Miller, whose People Photo of the Week column appears weekly in insidewarren.com and whose photos also appear in various other articles at the site, took a first place and a third place in the Portrait & Personality Photography category. Her “Beautiful Atmosphere” photo of Alexis P. Suter performing at the Inn at Millrace Pond’s Blues and Craft Brews Festival last year got the first place prize, while her photo of Renee Smith as part of an article entitled, “Mrs. NNJ America Looks To Raise Autism Awareness”, captured third place in that same category.
The pictures by Miller, a longtime photographer in the region who lives in Asbury, have appeared in numerous publications over the years, locally and in the state as well.
Reinhard, of Stewartsville, won two second place prizes, for Online General News, “Washington BID’s Car Show”, and for Online Feature, “Centenary University Adjusts to The New World” (about the college’s radio station). Reinhard is a graduate of Warren County Community College and is currently a student at Centenary.
Both Miller and Reinhard have been working with Inside Warren since its inception three years ago. Additionally, they both also work with CHP Communications.
CHP Communications took first and second place in the Public Relations Press Release category. The two press releases that were recognized, “Mrs. NNJ America Looks To Raise Autism Awareness” (first place) and “Hilbert Is The Real Deal At Sussex County Community College, And She’s Just Getting Started!” (second place), were written by Dan Hirshberg. CHP Communications represents a variety of companies in the region, as well as several non-profit organizations.
