For the past several years Mary Ann Shugars (second from left) has been the No. 1 donator of toys from the House of the Good Shepherd Retirement Community in Hackettstown toward the Toys for Tots campaign. This year, Linda (pictured on right) and her husband Guy Gregg arranged for Marines heading Toys for Tots in the area to visit Mary Ann as a personal thanks for her efforts. The Marines presented Mary Ann with a certificate and a Toys for Tots sweatshirt.  Mary Ann related that her husband was a diplomat who served all over the world.  Marines are the branch that protect embassies, she said.  She was most thankful for the protection her husband received during his time abroad.
