Businesses looking for opportunities to train employees or looking for resources to help develop their workforce can learn about low cost and no cost offerings through the Warren County Community College Workforce and Industry Training program at the Washington Business Improvement District’s Sept. 14 Lunch ‘N Learn.
WCCC’s Workforce and Industry Specialist Maija Amaro will cover WCCC training as well as other resources available to assist business in their workforce development at low or no cost.
The luncheon will be held at Pasta Grill by Enzo, Route 57, in Washington. The luncheon is open to any business or organization in the region.
Amaro notes that these resources are not only for small businesses, but any size business or non-profit organizations. Resources will address employee training, training grants, on-the-job training, internships, recruitment and job posting.
“Many of these programs can result in significant savings for a business as well as training and wages reimbursement,” said Amaro.
The Thursday Sept. 14 luncheon begins at 11:45 and concludes by 1 p.m. Cost per person is $15 in advance, $20 at the door. To register in advance, go to www.washingtonbid.org or phone 908-689-4800.
