Library Celebrates World Space Week & What’s Next

The Warren County Library is celebrating World Space Week with a virtual program, “What’s Next for Human Space Travel?” on Thursday, Oct. 7 at 6:30 p.m.

Paul Cirillo of Astronomy NJ, a consortium of the 11 astronomy club in the state, will present on the latest human space programs planned by the US, Russia, China and the four US private space companies: Space X, Boeing, Blue Origin and Virgin Galactic. He will cover space tourism, space stations, moon bases and a journey to Mars.

Cirillo is a member of the NJ Astronomical Association in High Bridge which operates the largest public observatory in the state, in Voorhees State Park, Hunterdon County. He was founder of the Somerset County 4-H Space and Astronomy Club and its leader for 10 years. Register for the program with Christine at cwilliams@warrenlib.org.

‘AMONG US’ FOR KIDS

Kids ages 8 and up are invited to find an imposter on a spaceship on “Among Us,” a virtual program presented by the Warren County Library.

The imposter wants to eliminate all of its crewmates and the children are invited to find out who it is.

“Among Us” will be presented on Fridays, Oct. 8 and 22, at 3:30 p.m. It is free to download from the app store and $5 on Steam. Register with Christine at 908-813-3858 or cwilliams@warrenlib.org
