Some people are born leaders and others have leadership thrust upon them. For those looking to become an effective leader, Warren County Community offers a Leadership Excellence Certificate Program.
The dynamic Leadership Excellence Certificate Program prepares students for leadership roles both within and outside of the professional realm. Skills will be developed through a practical, interactive learning environment.
“Just what makes a leader? In part, good communication and conflict resolution, understanding what it means to lead, and overcoming the obstacles that come with leadership,” said instructor Michael Keating. “Once these skills are developed, students will be able to use them in every aspect of their lives.”
This 24-hour program, spanning four day-long Monday sessions, Feb. 18-March 11, includes four main components: Understand Leadership, Traits and Development of Strengths Based Leadership; Developing Leadership Skills and Creating a Vision; Handling Conflict; and Ethics in Leadership and Overcoming Obstacles in Leadership.
The Leadership Excellence Certificate Program will be held at the College’s Phillipsburg Education Center, 445 Marshall St., Phillipsburg. To register for this class or for a full listing of courses and programs offered through Continuing Education at Warren County Community College, call 908-689-7613, or visit www.warren.edu.
