Kidz R People 2 celebrated Black History Month on Feb. 20 with displays, historical discussions about African American history, locally and nationally, and a look at books that tell the story of African Americans.

The all-afternoon event, hosted by Kidz R People 2 owner Tanshel Pointer, attracted many visitors from Washington and communities nearby, including Borough Deputy Mayor Ethel Conry and local historian Ina Walls. Black History Month themed cookies were donated by Anwar and Suhair from Cafe 57 in Washington Township.

Kidz R People 2, located at 47 E. Washington Avenue (Route 57), plans on holding an assortment of special monthly events moving forward.
