Vincent “Enzo” Iannelli, Jr., a longtime member of the Washington Business Improvement District Board of Directors for the past several years, was unanimously re-elected for a third term as President at the Board’s Annual Reorganization Meeting on Jan. 4.
Iannelli, whose family has owned Pasta Grill by Enzo for over 35 years, has been instrumental in helping lead the WBID through the COVID crisis and supporting numerous community events that have received much appreciation from business owners.
Also re-elected unanimously in their same positions as last year were First Vice President, Angela Bridygham, of Esoteric Jiu Jitsu Academy, Ellen Perkins, Second Vice President, of Gaia’s Gifts, and Jeff Smith of Smith Tractor, Treasurer. Bob Valinski was chosen as the Board Secretary. Valinski is the WBID’s Resident Property Owner.
“We got through the tough times of COVID and this past year we didn’t miss a beat on returning to a full complement of community events and helping new businesses jumpstart,” said Iannelli. “Business owners continually tell us that the events truly make a difference in the success of their business. Events like the Festival in the Borough, the Green and Arts Fest, the Farmers Market, and the Steampunk Fair all help play a part in Washington Borough attracting new shoppers and in some cases, new businesses, such as the Rooted Lion.”
He added, “We want to continue with this success and take it a step forward. We still have work to do and our Executive Board members are committed to this success.”
In addition to the events mentioned already, the WBID also coordinates two hugely popular community activities, Hometown Halloween and Hometown Holiday, both of which attract hundreds of people.
