The Hope Area Chamber of Commerce honored former State Senator (and former Assemblyman and Warren County Freeholder) Michael Doherty for his many years of service at its annual Christmas Party at the Inn at Millrace Pond on Dec. 8. Doherty, on left, will continue his career as Warren County Surrogate, of which he was elected in November. In the Outstanding Achievement Award presentation made by Chamber President Chris Maier Doherty was cited for his 21 years of outstanding public service to the community. The plaque that Doherty received stated, “The difference between success and failure is often determined by one’s dedication. Your exceptional commitment to Warren County and its citizens has earned you our highest admiration and respect.”
