Home Instead Senior Care of Hunterdon and Warren Counties has had a very fruitful – and busy – past couple of months.
First it earned the prestigious title of Caring Super Star of 2019 by Caring.com in recognition of service excellence in providing in-home care to seniors within the community. Second, they’ve expanded into a larger space as the company continues to grow.
Each year, Caring.com, a leading senior care resource for family caregivers, recognizes “Caring Stars” across the country. These agencies must earn a 5-star rating within the qualification timeframe and meet positive review requirements, among other criteria.
To earn the elite “Super Star” designation, Home Instead was named a Caring Star three years in a row! Only 48 agencies nationwide are able to claim this status. For context, there are 1,000 eligible agencies in New Jersey alone.
“We strive daily to deliver high-quality care for our clients, and this award helps validate our delivery on that promise,” said Tracy L. Fazzolari, Certified Senior Advisor and Certified Dementia Practitioner, and the franchise owner of Home Instead Senior Care of Hunterdon and Warren Counties. “On behalf of our agency staff and leadership, thank you to those who shared positive feedback about the services we offer, and to Caring.com for recognizing us as a Caring Super Star of 2019.”
Home Instead Senior Care, a Nationally Accredited Home Health Care Firm, recently celebrated their move into a brand-new location in Washington Borough, at 256 Belvidere Ave., Suite A. They have proudly called the Borough home since 2000.
“The work that Home Instead has done for our seniors and family caregivers is astounding,” said John Monteverde, Director of the Washington Borough Business Improvement District. “Tracy, Lucy [Hurley], and the CAREGivers go out of their way to ensure the health and well-being of our most vulnerable citizens.”
Among top feedback on the site was the praise that Home Instead allows adult caregivers to “become sons and daughters again.”
“We give them peace of mind and they can enjoy more of their parent’s company knowing that day to day tasks, appointments, along with personal care services are being taken care of by CAREGivers, who are carefully chosen for their loved ones,” said Fazzolari.
Additionally, Fazzolari and Lucy Hurley, Home Instead’s Home Care Consultant, lead workshops to encourage safe and healthy states of body and mind for seniors and their family members. These relaxed, informational workshops provide take-home resources, action plans, and a support system for those caring for seniors.
Topics include “Prevent Wandering/Missing Senior Network,” which includes information on Home Instead’s free missing senior network; “Alzheimer’s Family Caregiver Workshop,” which includes an exploration of self-care tactics; “Returning Home & 5 Ways to Prevent Senior Hospitalization,” which helps promote safe and successful transitions home after a hospital stay and preventing a return visit; and “The Five Wishes,” to help set up a first Living Will. Additional topics explore fraud and ID theft, transitioning away from driving, nutrition and mealtime, holidays, medication management, and how to conduct Home Safety Tours. These workshops are available to groups large and small and are suitable for churches, women’s groups, and other clubs and organizations.
Home Instead has also begun a campaign called, Un-Retire Yourself, focused on retirees seeking part-time work that is meaningful and fulfilling.
